Jeev Milkha Singh Two Notches Behind Tiger Woods in WGC-CA Championship Golf

India’s Jeev Milkha Singh climbed up the ranks after a solid two-under-par 70 placed him in a tie for fourth place at the WGC – CA Championship on Friday, just two places behind Tiger Woods who was in lone second place after a 66.
Woods was one stroke behind round leader Geoff Ogilvy who shot a 67 for a 132 total.
Singh, the 2006 Asian Tour’s Order of Merit winner, continued his fine form firing four birdies against a double bogey. The 36-year-old Indian star, who lost in a play-off battle at the Ballantine’s Championship last week, is making a gradual rise again at Doral after a two-day total of six-under-par 138.
Thailand’s Chapchai Nirat birdied three of his last four holes to record his second straight 70 to lie in joint 10th spot with an equal performance by Korean stalwart Choi Kyung-ju for a 140 total.
Sweden’s Daniel Chopra was among those in a tie for 32nd place after a 70 while India’s S.S.P. Chowrasia and New Zealand’s Mark Brown were in the mix in joint 62nd position after a 73 and 74 respectively.
China’s Liang Wen-chong endured a slow finish as he carded his second consecutive 74 for a 148 total to lie in a tie for sixth spot.
