American Steve Stricker manipulated the greens at the Nicklaus Course on Saturday and ended the fourth day of the Bob Hope Classic with a total of 33 under to overtake three rounds leader Pat Perez with three shots.   

Stricker was bogey-less on round four and shot 10 birdies to accumulate a 10-under 62, setting a tour record for set a TOUR record for consecutive rounds with 123.

“I’ve been driving the ball well, putting it in play, and giving myself a lot of opportunities at birdies, and I’ve been rolling the ball well. So we got one more day, and that’s what my sights are set on, is to go out and play just as well tomorrow,” Stricker said.

Pat Perez slipped to second place after firing a five-under 67 on round four, with an aggregate of 258.
