American Anthony Kang fired a five-under-par 67 on Sunday to accumulate a superb 17-under-par 271, enough to make him champion in the $2,000,000 Maybank Malaysian Open at Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Kang’s bogey on the 15th hole didn’t hamper his march towards victory as he fired six birdies on the final round to overtake England’s David Horsey and Miles Tunnicliff, India’s Jyoti Randhawa, and Thailand’s Prayad Marksaeng by one shot.
Horsey, who ended on the second place with three others, fired an eight-under-par 64 on the final round but his four-day scores left him one shot behind the champion.
