Korea’s Choi Kyung-ju carded a final round 70 to end his campaign at the Shell Houston Open in tied 11th place on Sunday.
 
Choi’s four-day total of nine-under-par 279 at the Redstone Golf Club saw him take a share of 11th position with Bart Bryant and Steve Stricker of the United States in the US$5.6 million event which was won by American Johnson Wagner.

Korean stalwart Choi Kyung-ju closed in at the top of the pack when he was four under after 14 holes at the WGC – CA Championship before play was suspended due to darkness on Saturday.
 
Choi, a three-time winner on the Asian Tour, got off on the right note chalking up birdies in the first two holes before firing two more birdies on the back nine in the third round at Doral.

Prodigious home-grown hero Choi Kyung-ju arrived at the picturesque island of Jeju, south of Korea to a hero’s welcome and promised his home fans that he will not disappoint them by going out for a home win at this week’s inaugural Ballantine’s Championship.
