Organisers of the Maybank Malaysian Open today announced that the 49th edition of the event will return from March 4 to 7, 2010 at the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club, with title sponsor Maybank pledging a US$2 million pot money.

American Anthony Kang fired a five-under-par 67 on Sunday to accumulate a superb 17-under-par 271, enough to make him champion in the $2,000,000 Maybank Malaysian Open at Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.    

Australian Adam Blyth renewed his love affair with the Maybank Malaysian Open when he snatched a one-shot lead after the third round on Saturday, placing a cloud on Danny Chia’s dream to become the first Malaysian to win the tournament.    

Malaysian Danny Chia explored the home court advantage by firing two spectacular eagles on the front nine to take the second round lead in the Maybank Malaysian Open on Friday at the Saujana Golf and Country Club’s Palm course.    

Korean teenager Noh Seung-yul , the Asian Tour’s rookie of the year last season, fired a stunning 10-under-par 62 to take the first round lead at the Maybank Malaysian Open on Thursday, sinking an eagle and nine birdies to lead by one stroke.      

American Anthony Kim is planning to become the king at this week’s US$2 million Maybank Malaysian Open after rubbing shoulders with a real King on Tuesday.

American star Anthony Kim will make his first appearance in South East Asia at this year’s Maybank Malaysian Open  which takes place at Saujana Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur from February 12th-15th.
